  • 15 Ways to Keep the Kids Busy and Positive During Difficult Times

Here are a few ways the kids and I are keeping busy during our time at home hiding from COVID-19. I think it's so important to keep kids (especially older ones) busy and distracted in a positive way during this scary and uncertain time. My kids (twins are almost 13 and my son is 17) are all old enough to see the endless stream of scary stuff on Snapchat, TicToc, and Instagram, and I don't want them focusing on all of that stuff all day long. I'm a big believer in controlling what is within our power and then letting the rest go. In this situation this is how we can put that into practice: Control the controllable: 1. STAYING HOME and follow the CDC and authorities guidelines on prevention, which we are. 2. Control our intake of the news. We don't control how many people in our state get it, or tragically how many people die from it, we don't control those stats. So, we've limited following the updates about the virus to 10 minutes a day, in the evening. More than that tends to feed fear and create downward spirals. Let the rest go... How? By not allowing yourselves to focus on it all day long. But CHOOSING to focus on ourselves, our family, our goals, our dreams, our projects, our personal development, our business, our new ideas, and our time together. Here are 15 ideas to help you and your kids stay busy and positive during this time. These are things the kids and I are doing, follow us on Instagram stories to get more ideas. We've given the back yard a total facelift, tearing out grass, planting flowers, painting patio furniture. We've had an art contest. Each of us painted our version of the same vase of flowers on canvas, when they were dry I added them to my gallery wall in the living room. We've taken turns making breakfast and lunch. Each kid is fully in charge of the meal. They have to look up what to make on Pinterest and then make it on their own following the directions. When they cook, they get to pick who cleans up. We've had a bake-off. Each day one of us has to pick something to bake and then we vote on what we liked best. Daily step competitions to see who hits 7,000 steps first in a day, this helps us be motivated to take the dog for a walk and gets them to complain less when we play tennis (with our own equipment at the abandoned court by our house). YouTube workouts. Each kid gets to pick one that all of us have to do together. Each of the kids has re-made their #futureboards printed them and added them to their bedroom walls. CLICK HERE to get my full online course on how to make your future board and how to teach your kids and teens to do them too, THIS WEEK only it's $99 (normally $249). Use CODE: FUTUREBOARDS They are spending 15 min a day pinning to their online Pinterest board. Learning a new language. Each of my kids downloaded Duolingo and picked a language, each has to spend 30 min a day. We have competitions going for who finishes levels first, who uses the language most in daily life, etc. I'll pick weekly winners and they will be able to buy something off Amazon with their winnings. We are spending an hour a day organizing a project. Closets, shelves, garage etc. We've painted rooms and fixed things on the "fix it" list. We have an hour a day of family reading time. This means each of us takes our book and picks a quiet spot in the house and we go read for an hour. When we are done each person has to give a 5-minute debrief on what's happening in their book. We do game night or a movie for an hour after dinner each night. We have an hour a day where the kids do math at the kitchen table together, Kanen helps the girls. My girls are watching Netflix shows and movies with their friends while on group Zoom, so everyone can see each other and interact during the show. Also, I'm having my kids journal every day. I want them to write about this experience in their private journals so they can read it when they grow up and share it with their kids. I have them write about what has changed, what they are worried about, how they feel about stuff, and then what we are doing as a family to fill the time and make it fun. I'm also having them include each day: what they are grateful for and what they will never take for granted again. How can you involve your kids in your business? How can you play to their strengths during this time? I've enlisted the help of my 17-year-old son to go on YouTube and learn how to start and launch a podcast. It feels great to outsource this project to him as it's something I've dreaded doing and something he'll enjoy. I've asked my girls to teach me how to use TicToc so I can start using it in my business. My daughter Izzy loves art, so she is the one who leads our family art competition. She had to teach us what to do and how to do it. My daughter Mira is an organization maniac, so she's in charge of all our organization projects. Let's use this time to learn how to SLOW DOWN and get the MOST from our lives. Let's learn how to love and appreciate the extra time with our kids, loved ones, and family. Let's find creative ways to connect with friends we can't physically spend time with. I hope these ideas help you and your family pass the time in a positive way. • 7 Tips for Making New Year's Resolutions You WILL Accomplish

7 Tips for Making New Year's Resolutions You WILL Accomplish and How to Correctly Set Goals We get it, 2020 was a disappointment, a shit-show, blah blah... Let's shed it entirely and LEAP into 2021 with brand-new energy, goals, and resolutions that will catapult our success! After all, we deserve it, don't we? And since this has been such an unprecedented time, why would you make the same old resolutions, the way you've done every other year? Screw that! Let's do this differently, let's GET RESULTS in 2021 like we've NEVER gotten before. The start of the New Year is a powerful time to create new habits, set new intentions, and make goals that will ensure your long-term success. We've all made New Year’s Resolutions in the past, but how many of those did you accomplish? Did you start each new year with a sense of dread, writing a list of promises to yourself that you knew you had no intention of keeping? Let's stop that destructive cycle, shall we? Let's set goals that we can not only MEET but EXCEED. When we accomplish these goals, it builds our trust in ourselves and our confidence, which ultimately creates the lasting change we desire. I’m a firm believer in making goals that you can ABSOLUTELY commit to, something you KNOW you can complete without killing yourself. Unrealistic goals are the fastest way to become demotivated and fall into the trap of beating yourself up, which is basically the worst thing you can do! Most people make the mistake of setting goals they know they'll never achieve, or ones they have no idea how to achieve. When you do this year after year, and each time fall short, you start to feel pretty shitty right? When we begin beating ourselves up, it makes our chances of success that much less, and the road to accomplishment that much harder. STOP THE CYCLE! It's not working. That's not to say you should expect little of yourself, absolutely not. You should want to make big changes and set the bar high, but there is a way to do this effectively, rather than setting yourself up for another failure. I believe that ANYONE (yes, YOU) can achieve ANY GOAL regardless of how “insane” it may seem IF you do it correctly. 7 Tips for Making New Year's Resolutions You WILL Accomplish HOW TO SET GOALS YOU WILL ACHIEVE 1. DECIDE you are ready to make a change. The first step to any change is a CONCRETE DECISION. You must DECIDE you want to change MORE than you want to stay the same. If you are apathetic about how things are right now, no goal will ever motivate you to change. You must be DONE with how things are right now, over it! Fed up! If you WANT the change more than the apathy, nothing will stand in your way. 2. Clearly define the outcome you want. If you don't know what the desired end result is, how can you achieve it? What are you working towards? Why does "losing 20lbs" matter to you? What will change about your life when you do? What will you be able to do then that you can't do now? How bad do you want to do that new thing? How bad do you want to feel the way you imagine it will feel when you do the new thing? Identify all of that. It's not about the 20lbs people, it's about how you want your life to change how you want to feel, and what you'll be able to do. This is true of ANY goal (not just health ones). By defining all these various outcomes you've also just set several benchmarks for yourself that you can achieve at any point in the year which will continue to encourage your success. 3. START SMALL. Break your larger "resolution", or year goal, into a DAILY, ACHIEVABLE action-based goal. For example: If your resolution is to "get fit," or lose 20lbs. Your DAILY action would be to move your body for at least 20 minutes a day. This is something you can commit to and excel at. There will be days when you get in an hour workout or more, great! Those are the days when you exceed your goal, build your confidence, and get one step closer to your ultimate health goal for the year. On days when you "only" get in your 20 minutes as a walk with the dog, you are still on track and keeping your promise, thus accomplishing your short and long-term goals. It's the consistency of the smaller achievable actions that make lasting and lifelong change. 4. Fantasize about what it will be like to LIVE the outcome of your goals and benchmarks. What will it feel like? What will you do to celebrate? Who will you share the joy of this accomplishment with? Daydreaming about the end results in as vivid detail as you can, as often as you can. 5. Use mottos to change your thinking. A huge part of success (in any form) is to BELIEVE that you are capable of making it happen. But when you start out on Jan 1st, you won't believe that yet! You need to convince yourself of it first. The best way to build a new belief is to tell yourself all day every day; that it is possible, it is happening, that you deserve it, that you can do it, and that you are proud of yourself for all your efforts so far, that you are one step closer, that victory is YOURS, that you are capable, that you are worthy, that you've got this!!! Learn more about mottos HERE 6. Be RELENTLESS. Understand that there is no going back. And if there is NO going back to your old ways, your old habits, the old you… then there is ONLY moving forward. This means you complete your daily goal even on days when you don’t want to. BUT, if you fall off (and let’s be honest, you will at some point), give yourself grace for the “pause” and get right back at it the next day. Always put a time limit on your “pause” never more than 3 days “off.” Understand that a “pause” is NOT a break, or an “it’s over, so why bother.” You aren’t starting over; you’re simply jumping back into the game. 7. Don’t overextend yourself. Do NOT set goals you know you can’t or won’t accomplish. Instead, think about that massive goal, and instead of writing it, write a mid-size goal that would need to be accomplished before the big goal could ever be realized. Example: If you want to write a book that gets published, don’t make your New Year’s resolution or goal for the year “get my book published.” That is something that would in all likelihood take more than a year anyway. Instead write: “Write 10 chapters of my book.” This way if you write more, or finish it, you’ve exceeded your goal and can make the next year's goal to get an agent and get it published. ALWAYS SET YOURSELF UP FOR SUCCESS. This is the golden rule. It will prevent discouragement; self-loathing and negative self-talk, and it will encourage and motivate you to keep going until you’ve reached your goal. What are your goals? Can you make a daily goal that is something you’re willing to commit to now? Then all you have to do is show up. Just do it. Do it tomorrow. Then the next day… Like they say in AA… one day at a time. Check out my chapter on how to set effective goals in my new book All the Things I Wish I Knew, plus 80 other lessons and tips on how to create your dream life. • How to Silence Haters to Keep Pursuing Your Dreams

How to Silence Haters to Keep Pursuing Your Dreams. How do you pursue your dreams, when you're not exactly surrounded by the most supportive people? That's a question I get a lot. I think many people use it as a demobilizing obstacle to pursuing their dreams, thinking it's not something they can control or overcome, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. This is something I've faced many times personally, throughout the past several years, as I've been chasing my dreams. And I've learned that there are really two ways to deal with "haters." Who are "haters?" They might be family, maybe they're friends or co-workers, or maybe they're even your significant other. Haters are the people in our lives who put us down for dreaming big and thinking of a life outside the box. Whether it's overt doubt, passive-aggressive judgment, or subtle skepticism, that energy can get us down and sidetrack us from our goals. If you haven't faced something like this yet, chances are you will. We all go through it at one time or another in the pursuit of our dreams. I talk about this in my book Hustle Believe Receive as #ChangYourCrew. There are 2 ways to silence haters: 1. If they ARE someone who can be cut (even temporarily) from your life, do it. We are a reflection of the people in our circle, and they are a representation of us. If they are not people you look up to, admire or who add value to your life, then it's probably time to distance yourself from them or cut them out completely. This means in real life and on social media. 2. If they are NOT someone who can be cut from your life (such as a significant other, close family member), the best thing to do, is to silently nurture and cherish your dreams. Speak them out loud to yourself, or to people who you know will support them, but don't bring them up with people who don't. Take the "I'll show you, not tell you" approach. Use their doubt and skepticism to fuel your desire to WIN. Use it as MOTIVATION. I'm telling you, hater motivation can be the best kind when you're starting out! Just remember, your dreams are YOURS. Others will come on board when they see you following through, hustling and finding success. So, in the meantime, protect them against negative energy by DOING the work to make them come to life. Less talk and a little more action will cure this pretty quick! And, remember... those people who ARE supportive, nurture those relationships on a regular basis. Let them know how much you love and appreciate them. And when you come across a dreamer on their hustle, make sure you pour a little love and positivity onto their dreams too. • How to Have Courage Over Fear

How to Have Courage Over Fear What does it take to have courage over fear? I say in Hustle Believe Receive that; “fear is the enemy of success.” I still believe that to be true, because most people give fear an incredible amount of power, whether they intend to or not. But I also think fear holds one important role in our lives; it forces us to question ourselves which helps us vet the various possible outcomes before rushing our decisions. I think many people allow fear to take over at this stage, by OVER thinking, and over questioning. But if you use fear to allow you to pause, think about what your doing, ask yourself some tough questions, make sure it's right, then you can move forward knowing you're making the right choice. The key is to make sure fear knows its place in your world. Don’t give it more power or more credit than it deserves, and definitely don’t allow it to be the guiding force behind making decisions. It is simply a tool, in our box, that can help us make the right decisions. It takes courage to live the life you really dream of living. It takes immense courage to follow your dream and find success. Courage comes into play every time fear threatens our dreams. Fear is the devil on our shoulder making us look at all those nasty worst-case scenarios; so look at them! Stare them down. Could you still live with yourself if one of those “worst case” hypothetical situations happened? Then there’s your answer, fear did its job, and now its time to turn the wheel back over to courage. There’s a HUGE lie that we've all been told, that when you follow your passion, things should; "just flow naturally." I’m not sure who started this dangerous and disgusting rumor, but let me tell you from first-hand experience that it’s NOT true. Things don’t just magically “work out,” even when you’re in “the flow” of following your dream. There is ALWAYS fear. There are always forks in the road that require you to RISK something (or everything), in order to keep pressing forward. And that is why we need to become masters of #CourageOverFear. There is nothing magical about success. Success is a formula. Successful people get that way, by putting that formula into action, over and over again. They trust it, even in the face of adversity. Even when the shit hits the fan. Even when everything they've been hustling for seems to be falling apart, they still trust the formula and keep believing, keep working. This process will repeat many, many times on the road to living your dreams. Each time you'll get better at trusting your gut, at listening to your intuition and then acting based on what it tells you. I believe it’s our ultimate guiding force, our compass as we navigate past fear to summon the courage for our next move. If you follow your intuition, you will always make the right decisions and remain on your perfect path (even when it seems less than perfect). The job of our intuition is to protect us from harm, but most people spend all their time fighting this quiet inner voice. They find a million ways to talk themselves out of whatever direction their gut is telling them to go. They make excuses, give all the reasons why what their gut tells them won't work. Then they chose the path based in fear, ignoring intuition, and that's when shit can hit the fan. If we just took the time to listen to our gut in the first place, it would help us find that balance between fear and courage, and in the end it would strengthen courage enough for us to make the right choices. If you look back on your life at the moments/choices that really changed you, I bet you'll discover that you were faced with fear then too. But instead of giving in to fear, and not --getting married, or going off to college, or taking that trip, or having kids, or whatever your big moment was-- you applied courage and took a leap of faith. And I bet you're glad you did. So, if you're facing a big choice in your life; maybe its leaving a job you hate, starting a business, leaving a bad relationship… whatever it is, stop letting fear talk you out of making the choice that your intuition is begging you to make. Listen to your gut. Then put your big girl (or boy!) pants on, and take the leap of faith! Ready to take your life, career, goals and yourself to the next level? • My Brand of Self-Help: Less Talk and More Action

If you've followed me for years, then you already know this about me, I am all about ACTION. My brand of "self-help" is much more; do what I DO, not just what I SAY. I believe in less talk and a LOT more action. If you're new to following me, you might be expecting the same types of content everyone else is putting out there; videos, IG videos, FB and IG live streaming, LOTS and LOTS of talking. Lots of telling you what to do. But that's just not my style. From the beginning of my journey, back when I started writing for my blog Thoughts.Stories.Life., I've always shared what I personally am doing to get results in my life. I've shared when it worked, and when it hasn't. And I've ALWAYS taught through my own story as an example. I've shown you HOW I've applied a particular topic, tool or method, and then shared how you can apply it in your life to also get results. I've gotta be honest, sometimes I feel the pressure to be like everyone else. I think: Maybe I should do daily 'coaching' videos. Maybe I should be more active on YouTube. Maybe I should do what everyone else is doing. After all, there seems to be a pretty standard model for how to be an "expert," and maybe I just need to conform. Maybe I should just start telling people what to do. It's a serious temptation. But that's not who I am. I've never claimed to be a guru. I'm not more enlightened than the next person, or smarter than anyone (in fact, maybe the opposite LOL). I SHARE what I personally am working on in my own life at any given time. It's what inspires me to write, or post. I don't have a schedule of pre-created content to drip. I don't randomly pick topics, or pick ones that I think might reach the biggest audience or get the most followers. I simply write, speak and post about what I know, and that's my life. I "coach," or "teach" based on my first-hand experience of topics I know intimately well, based on much personal trial and error. I've always felt that the most authentic way to teach anything, is to let the work and the results speak for themselves. My goal has always been to be a living, breathing example of what I teach. To share my life, my goals and dreams with you, so you can have a front-row seat as I turn them into reality. I want you to see that anything is possible, for ANYONE. And by "anyone" I mean YOU. That has been my motto/mission from day one, and I've always felt there’s no better way to prove it, then to be the Ginny Pig myself. So, when I post about How to #GetGrateful, it's because I personally needed a gratitude reboot. When I share a manifestation, I'll give the steps and timeline for HOW I manifested it, so you can see how to do it too. When I invite speakers to my events, they won't be "self-help" speakers. They will be REGULAR PEOPLE, chasing and living their dreams. They will share THEIR wisdom and tips for success, ones they've personally tested. I think the "self-help" industry is saturated by a bunch of (let’s be honest, mostly men) telling people what to do. They aren't usually sharing it based on their own experience, and if they share stories at all, it's mainly "client stories." That has just never inspired or motivated me. From the start, I've been committed to creating a "brand" that is authentic and REAL. Not polished. Not perfect. Not elitist. But one that features real stories, from real people. Real examples from my life, and client’s examples in THEIR OWN WORDS. I'm NEVER going to teach, coach, post or write about something I haven't personally already tried and tested. I'm not going to represent people, things, ideas or products that I don't personally believe in. I will also say what's on my mind, even when it's (very) unpopular. Whenever I do this, without fail someone who's a new follower (who doesn't really get me or know my work) will message me, saying; You shouldn't say that. You will lose followers or won't get clients. All I can say is, I didn't start this journey to become anyone I'm not. I didn't start coaching to be EVERYONE'S coach. I refuse to filter or conform just because that's what people are comfortable with or used to. That commitment to remain authentically me is a constant struggle. It's not easy. But it's a promise I made to myself when I started, and one I intend to always keep. Whatever your dreams or goals are, make a commitment to always stay true to what makes you authentic. Don't let other people’s opinions water down your dreams or change your "brand." Stay YOU. In the end, it's that ability to remain true to yourself and your convictions that will set you apart from the pack and bring you success, even when everyone tries to convince you otherwise. Don't give in to the urge to mediocre. Don't ever be a version of anyone but yourself. Be okay with the fact that not everyone will get or appreciate this. And you know what? That's just fine because the people who do will loyally love and respect you for staying authentic. Ready to take your life, career, goals and yourself to the next level? • Are You Transforming? Personal Transformation that Lasts

Are You Transforming? Personal Transformation that Lasts What does TRANSFORMATION mean to me? It means that once I intentionally change, I change for GOOD. Your transformation should be like that of a butterfly. First, they start as a caterpillar, right? When they transform into a chrysalis, do they ever go back to being a caterpillar? NO. When they transform into a butterfly, do they ever return to being a chrysalis? Nope. That is the kind of transformation I believe in, and it's what I teach people how to do. I do NOT want you to up-level a little here and a little there, I want you to TRANSFORM! I want everything about your life to get better, more expansive, more abundant, more loving, more supported, MORE. And... when you transform, you don't go back. You continue evolving into the next, better version of yourself, and your life continues to get better and better! But like anything else, it DOES NOT happen on its own. You won't magically wake up one day and be the person you dream of being, with the life you dreamed of living. It takes intention, clarity, direction, tools, motivation, a plan, and a lot of hustle. It takes changing your mindset and redefining what you want. There is a process, and it works. Most of all, it takes DESIRE, desire to change. The desire for new outcomes, desire for more. Here are actual manifestations from current clients members: One client flew on a private jet for the first time last week! Several clients are getting new (and much better) job offers with big raises in pay. Several have doubled their business revenue. Many have manifested the love of their life and recent engagements! One won a fitness competition! Several have achieved the next degree/certification level for their career. One manifested a FREE trip to Dubai! Many have manifested amazing vacations. The list goes on and on. The Centrella Method™ CHANGES LIVES. It will transform you too, you just need to be willing to put in the work. Learn it. Apply it. Get results. It's that basic! Personal Transformation that actually lasts. If you are ready for LASTING transformation, let's get you the results you desire ASAP! • Sometimes You're the Windshield...

Sometimes You're the Windshield... Sometimes you're the bug. Which one are you today? I gotta be honest... not every day is a "jumping for joy, can't believe this is my life!" kinda day. Some days, it's more like "UGH I can't believe this is my life." Wanna know a secret? Everyone has those days. TBH, I've had a few recently. It tends to happen when I'm working extra hard on several things, and they don't fall into place as fast as I want them to. Know what I mean? God! That shit is annoying! That's when I'm most likely to slip into stress mode, and of course, it's when said mode, needs to be avoided at all costs. See, I know how manifesting works. I know that as good as I am at manifesting the good stuff, I can also be my worst enemy when it comes to manifest piles of shit! And that is NOT my jam (anymore). How to not give up when the going gets tough I read my journal from a time when life was much worse. Or, read my blog posts from when my house flooded and I didn't have a place to live. That snaps me into gratitude mode, right quick. Or, I look at my #FutureBoards for inspiration to keep going. Or I read my list of goals (which I keep in my wallet), that has big check-marks all over it, for the things I've already accomplished. Or, I read my bucket list from 2011, because I've already lived half of it since then. The point is, I remind myself of how far I've come and I get grateful for it. I have created these measurable ways to check myself and log my progress. Because I know myself; if given the opportunity I'll start throwing a tantrum for not being where I want to be. I've learned to recognize when doubt, obstacles, and discouragement threaten my dreams, and I use these tools to snap out of it. Some days we do feel like the windshield. Like, nothing could ever go wrong. Like, everything we touch turns to gold. But then there are days when we feel like that squished bug, smearing across the windshield, guts on display. I've learned to capitalize on those good vibe times, to bottle that magic and save it for the days when I'm not feeling so "lucky." PRO TIP: Start being aware of what sets you off and track how you either stopped it or snapped out of it. Also, track what your triggers are so you can spot them better next time. Start logging your journey. Keep a daily/weekly journal so you have something to go back and read to prove you're not there anymore. • Fear is a Dream Killer: How to Overcome Fear to Manifest Your Dreams

Fear is a Dream Killer. How to Overcome Fear to Manifest Your Dreams. Over the years I've realized that there are a few common blocks to manifesting, that show up in many of us. Part of the frustration comes from not knowing what those blocks are or how to remove them. So, I thought I'd share, one of them with you today. If this is a block you've faced or are facing here's a trick to remove it so that you can get on with the business of making your dreams a reality. How to Overcome Fear to Manifest Your Dreams. The feeling of Unworthiness is one of those common blocks. Unworthiness often manifests in the form of fear. When things are going well, and we are starting to get what we want, what emotion often rears its ugly head? Fear. It may take the form of a lump in the pit of your stomach. Or anxiety. Or stress. If those emotions ever pop-up when you are happy, or when things are going well, you need to recognize them for that they truly are; self-sabotaging blockers to everything you want. Their (blocks) job is to keep you from breaking out of your comfortable box. They are present for the sole purpose of holding you back and keeping you down. How to Remove It... First, recognize the thought, without emotional attachment. When negative thoughts and fear arise, bringing their entourage of stress and anxiety, the first step is to remove yourself emotionally from it. Try to look at it objectively. Ask yourself; “Does this thought serve me? Is it going to get me closer to living my dreams, or is it here to keep me from them?” By doing this, we stop them in their tracks, removing their power. Second, whatever you do, DO NOT engage! The key to changing old beliefs is NOT to entertain them. Don’t allow an internal conversation to begin, or continue, it will only take you down a rabbit hole. For a while they will come at you in new and creative ways, making it harder to objectively recognize them for what they are, so be on guard. Also, be kind to yourself. No self-guilt here, if you miss one or two along the way, that's okay. Just commit to always improving and practicing what you’ve just learned. new one (thoughts about your dreams). So, immediately change the subject in your brain by thinking of your dream future life. Begin imagining a specific piece of that life, a part that you know will be easy and pleasurable to focus on for a few minutes. And just like a toddler, your brain will soon forget its tantrum and happily play with its new toy! Remember, that these emotions and thoughts are tricky little basters! They have lived with us for a looooong time and are quite comfortable with their position of guiding (or destroying) our life, they won’t go without a fight. For a while they will come at you in new and creative ways, making it harder to objectively recognize them for what they are, so be on guard. Also, be kind to yourself. • It's the Journey: How to be Grateful for Today without Loosing Focus

It's the Journey How to be Grateful for Today without Loosing Focus on Where Your Going. Sometimes it’s easy to forget to be grateful for the journey, as we are out here chasing our dreams, because we are so focused on where we're going. Focus is amazing, and we MUST have it but don’t forget to balance it with an appreciation for RIGHT NOW. It’s just like walking on these rocks yesterday at the beach. They were tricky and slippery (and threatened to ruin my awesome shoes!), I had to always keep one eye on my feet and the rocks under them, and one eye on that huge beautiful ocean that would be my reward for climbing over these tricky rocks. When I’d get too annoyed at having to cross them to get to the beach, I’d just look up and focus on that gorgeous ocean to remind me where I was going, and since my kids were already there, I knew my “why” was because I couldn’t look like a wuss in front of my kids! Our journey to our dreams is kinda like that. Keep one eye on today and gratitude for this moment (even if it seems to suck at the moment), and one eye on the prize. Focus on the prize to help you find the motivation to keep going, but also don’t lose sight of the fact that the joy, is in the journey. And remember, our dreams might cost us something, in fact, they probably will. You must be willing to risk something you care about (my awesome new shoes in this case) to reach your dreams. What are you grateful for today? What are you focusing on today? What are you willing to risk? Ready to take your life, career, goals and yourself to the next level? • VIVIAMO, a Dream Come True

VIVIAMO, a Dream Come True. This is a BIG DEAL. This is the post I’ve dreamed of sharing for a very long time… In 2017 I was laid off from my corporate sales job just days after closing the biggest deal of my career. I was shocked, to say the least. I remember driving home that day in stunned anger, PROMISING myself I'd never again work for anyone but myself. I’d never put my family in the terrifying position where someone could take away our livelihood on a whim. That day I started my company with no money, no income, no idea what I was doing, and no support system. I'll be honest, it was the hardest thing I've ever done. There were many months when I didn’t know if I could pay the rent. Many, many days of fear and frustration. I tried every idea that came to me, and took every opportunity no matter how small. I Googled, I made websites, and courses, and programs, I created membership circles, I did it all, having no idea what I was doing, and doing it all ALONE. There were many nights I just wanted to quit, give up on my dream, and go back to corporate, get a good paycheck, and have health insurance. But then I'd go look at my #futureboard and stare at the pictures of my dream company, the one I envisioned from the start. I dreamed of building a personal development company that would have a team of experts, people smarter and better than me in each of their given fields, and together we'd build a global powerhouse. My dream imagined the company in a corporate structure, with coaches teaching my methods to thousands of people and changing lives every day. I knew my company would be mostly women, and I knew one day it would change the world and the lives of not only myself, and my children, but everyone involved too. That HUGE vision is what refused to let me quit. Each time I faced another setback, failed at something or was disappointed, that vision slapped me around and said, "Sarah, get your ass back up and keep going after it." Well, today is FINALLY that day! I am THRILLED to announce the founding advisory board of my new corporate coaching startup, VIVIAMO. These are the best of the best, and I feel so humbled, grateful, and blessed that they have seen this vision and are as passionate as I am about bringing it to corporate America. It’s amazing what can happen when you REFUSE to give up! I've names my company VIVIAMO which means "let's live" in Italian, I think that sums up everything about what I believe in!
